Peyton's Pages of Possibility Continues: Welcome to The Kindness Club!

Published on 25 July 2026 at 13:55

When I wrote Peyton's Pages of Possibility: A Second grade Adventure, my hope was simple: to create a story that would help children believe in themselves while encouraging empathy, resilience, and kindness. I wanted every child who has ever quietly wondered, "Am I good enough?" to find a friend in Peyton.

Since sharing the first eBook, I've been incredibly grateful for the messages I've received from teachers, parents, counselors—and especially children. Hearing young readers talk about Peyton as if she were a real friend has been one of the greatest joys of my journey as an author.

Today, I'm thrilled to introduce the second chapter eBook in the series:

Peyton's Pages of Possibility: Book 2 – The Kindness Club

In this new adventure which you may access here on THIS LINK, Peyton begins second grade and discovers that kindness is contagious. Alongside her classmates, she learns that even the smallest acts of compassion can brighten someone's day, strengthen friendships, and build a classroom where everyone belongs.

While the heart of the series remains the same, you'll notice two important changes in Book 2—both inspired by the wonderful feedback I've received.

More Pictures, More Imagination

One of the comments I heard most often from children was, "I wish there were more pictures!"

Their honesty made me smile—and it also made me think.

As an educator, I believe illustrations can spark curiosity and help young readers connect with a story. At the same time, I also want children to continue doing something incredibly important: using their own imaginations.

So in The Kindness Club, I've included more illustrations to support and engage readers while still leaving plenty of room for them to visualize the characters, settings, and events in their own unique way. Some of the most magical moments in reading happen in a child's imagination, and I never want to take that away.

A Teacher's Guide Built Right into the Book

Another exciting change is for the educators and families who use Peyton's stories in classrooms, counseling groups, libraries, or at home.

Instead of offering a separate teacher's guide as I did with the first book, Book 2 includes a comprehensive Teacher & Parent Guide at the end of the story.

The guide features:

  • Thought-provoking discussion questions
  • Writing prompts
  • Classroom activities
  • Art projects
  • Family connections
  • Reflection activities
  • Ideas for starting your own Kindness Club

My goal was to make it even easier for teachers, school counselors, psychologists, social workers, homeschool families, and parents to extend the story's message beyond the final page.

Thank You for Being Part of This Journey

As both an educator and an author, I believe children's books can do more than entertain—they can nurture empathy, inspire courage, and remind children that every small choice matters.

Thank you to every child who shared their thoughts, every teacher who welcomed Peyton into the classroom, and every family who has read these stories together. Your encouragement continues to shape this series in meaningful ways.

I hope Peyton's Pages of Possibility Book 2: The Kindness Club inspires children not only to read about kindness, but to live it each day.

Because one kind heart can start something extraordinary.

With gratitude,
